Jet Toolbar can be used in different networks – mobile, fixed-line, Wi-Fi, satellite. Below please refer to the selected examples of business-cases for jet Toolbar solution in these networks. Please note that these are just some of the possible business-cases. There are many more possibilities, as Jet Toolbar is an extremely flexible tool that is great for marketing, sales, public notifications etc.

Please also note that some of these examples require additional integration with DPI, subscriber management system, billing system, Wi-Fi etc.

Possible business-cases in MOBILE NETWORK include:

  1. Churn reduction. Operator can advertise its new tariffs and services when its subscribers visit competitors’ web sites
  2. Quota depletion message. Used for quota depletion detection, subscriber loyalty and upselling. For example, subscribers can be notified when they are about to reach their quota limit and those who have enough money on their accounts can be offered additional to purchase additional quota or upgrade their tariff.
  3. Reminders and notifications for subscribers. Operator can notify subscribers when their billing period is almost over and remind them to pay to prevent disconnection.
  4. Targeted 3rd party advertising of competing products. For example, advertising of new Galaxy S6 to iPhone users, where Galaxy S6 will be competitively positioned against latest iPhone.
  5. Hotel and restaurant advertising for tourists. Operator can offer third parties to advertise products and services specifically for tourists who use its network when roaming.
  6. Target subscribers based on their preferences. Subscribers can be allocated to specific groups, based upon sites that they visit. For example, those who visit sports sites can be allocated to a “Sports” group and such users can then be shown sports related ads.
  7. Subscriber retargeting. This is great for all types of networks. For example, the rule can be set such that if user clicks on certain message then this user will be shown another message. For example, if user clicks on banner advertising a football game, later this user will also be shown a banner advertising some football supplies. Another example – if user completes questionnaire, such user will see another message with special coupon.
  8. Operator marketing research. For example, operator can ask subscribers to answer several quick questions in a questionnaire and receive free bonus.
  9. 3rd party marketing research. For example, new restaurant chain can have a quick questionnaire for subscribers of specific age group (or specific tariff etc) about their food preferences or where they prefer to go out for dinner. In return such subscribers can receive a coupon for a welcome drink.
  10. Direct link to subscriber’s account. Toolbar widget can be used to give each subscriber direct link to their account from any browser widow. Such toolbar can contain quicklinks to different sections in subscriber’s account (e.g. services ordered, account status, option to order new services etc) and contain key information about subscriber’s tariff (e.g. tariff name, quota level etc).
  11. Urgent messages to special group of subscribers. For example, if Facebook site is down, operator can send the special information message to all frequent Facebook users, informing them that the problem is on the Facebook side and not in operator network, and telling them that operator will inform them as soon as Facebook access will be restored. This is great for QoE and QoS.
  12. Advertising products and services on specific web- sites (to specific groups of subscribers, on selected days, at specific times, with specific number of times per session etc). Existing banners on sites can be replaced with the banners that operator wishes to show there. These can be operator’s own advertising or 3rd party advertising.

Possible business-cases in FIXED-LINE NETWORK include:

  1. Churn reduction. Operator can advertise its new tariffs and services when its subscribers visit competitors’ web sites

For example, advertising of new Galaxy S6 when subscribers visit Apple web site, so that Galaxy S6 will be competitively positioned against latest iPhone. Or advertise taxi services to those who visit travel agency website when ordering plane tickets.
  5. Product and services advertising for residential subscribers. Operator can offer third parties to advertise products and services specifically for residential subscribers – for example, advertise taxi to those who visit restaurant web site or advertise online TV channels for those who order food online.
  6. Product and services advertising for commercial subscribers. Operator can offer third parties to advertise products and services specifically for commercial customers. Unlike most of the solutions on the market today, Jet Toolbar allows operators to target commercial subscribers in commercial networks individually, even when they have the same IP address.

Possible business-cases for SATELLITE OPERATORS:

Business-cases for satellite operators depend on the business model of such operators and need to be discussed on a case-by-case basis. There are no technical restrictions for Jet Toolbar to be used in satellite operators.
